Are You Living With These Daily Struggles?

Missing teeth affect more than your smile. They reshape how you eat, speak, and feel about yourself every single day. We hear from patients who’ve quietly adjusted their lives around their tooth loss, and we want you to know real solutions exist.
  • Avoiding crunchy or chewy foods
  • Hiding my smile in every photo
  • Pain from damaged or broken teeth
  • Skipping dinners with friends
  • Watching my face slowly change shape
  • Mumbling instead of speaking clearly
  • If any of these feel familiar, you're not alone. Dentures can give you back the everyday confidence you've been missing.

    The Real Cost of Waiting

  • Bone Loss Accelerates

Missing teeth cause your jawbone to shrink, changing your facial structure over time.

  • Treatment Becomes Complex

More extensive procedures may be needed if you wait too long to address tooth loss.

  • Costs Increase Over Time

Delaying treatment often means more procedures and higher expenses later on.

  • Eating Gets More Difficult

Diet limitations grow as your remaining teeth weaken or shift out of place.

  • Confidence Continues Fading

Each passing month makes hiding your smile feel more natural and harder to undo.

  • Other Teeth Get Strained

Remaining teeth take on extra work, leading to wear, cracks, or further loss.

  • Acting now means simpler treatment, better results, and getting your smile back sooner.

What Are Dentures and How Do They Work?

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth that restore both function and appearance. We offer two main types: complete dentures, which replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw, and partial dentures, which fill gaps when some natural teeth remain. Each set features a gum-colored base that supports the replacement teeth, fitting securely against your gums or anchoring to nearby teeth.

At Countryman Dentistry, we craft each set of dentures with attention to fit, color, and shape so they look and feel natural. Our on-site dental lab gives us direct control over quality and faster delivery on many cases. For patients seeking dentures in Plano, TX, we combine digital imaging with careful craftsmanship to create comfortable, lifelike results.

  • Complete dentures replace full upper or lower arches
  • Partial dentures fit between existing natural teeth
  • Properly maintained dentures can last 5 to 10 years
  • Benefits of Dentures

Choosing to restore your missing teeth opens up far more than a new smile. Patients often share how their daily routines feel different in ways they never anticipated until experiencing it for themselves.
  • Eat the foods you love
  • Smile freely without hesitation
  • Laugh and talk with friends
  • Comfortable, secure everyday fit
  • Easy daily care routine
  • Years of dependable use
  • See What's Possible for Your Smile

These aren’t just teeth; they’re life-changing transformations that restore confidence and comfort. Each before-and-after photo represents a patient who trusted us with their smile journey.

    Are Dentures Right for You?

Many people wonder whether dentures are the right path forward. The good news is that modern dentures suit a wide range of patients, even those who’ve struggled with previous solutions or thought they had run out of options. Candidacy is broader than most people expect.
  • Have lost several teeth or all teeth in one arch
  • Are unhappy with current dentures or struggling with fit
  • Want a noticeable change in how you eat, speak, and smile
  • Have been told you have insufficient bone for implants
  • Looking for an affordable way to restore a full smile
  • Not Sure If You Qualify?

It’s a question we hear often, and the only way to know for certain is a thorough evaluation. A consultation gives you clarity on whether dentures are the right fit and what specific options would work best for your situation.

What to Expect During Your Denture Treatment

Many of our patients seeking dentures in Plano, TX tell us the treatment process feels far easier than they anticipated. We design each step around your comfort, with clear explanations and patient-focused care so you always know what’s coming next.
    1

    Initial Consultation

You'll meet with our team to discuss your goals, review your medical history, and undergo a complete oral exam. We use digital imaging to evaluate your bone health and remaining teeth, helping us recommend the right type of denture for your situation. By the end, you'll have a clear understanding of your treatment path.

    2

    Custom Impressions

Once we determine the ideal denture type, we take detailed impressions of your gums and jaw using comfortable, modern materials. These impressions go to our on-site lab, where your dentures are crafted to match your unique shape, bite, and natural tooth color. You'll have input on appearance throughout this stage.

    3

    Fitting Appointment

When your dentures are ready, you'll come in for fitting and final adjustments. We carefully check the fit, feel, and bite, making any refinements so everything feels secure and comfortable. Spa music, warm towelettes, and a relaxed atmosphere make this appointment feel more like a visit than a procedure.

    4

    Adjustment and Care Guidance

Your final appointment focuses on fine-tuning and showing you how to care for your new dentures. We'll walk you through cleaning, daily wear, and what to expect as you adjust. Most patients adapt within a few weeks and leave feeling confident about their new smile and routine.

    Common Questions About Dentures

Choosing dentures is a meaningful decision, and we want you to feel fully informed. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often from patients considering this path. If something isn’t covered here, we’re happy to walk through it during your consultation.

How long does it take to make dentures?

Most dentures take two to four weeks from initial impressions to final fitting. With our on-site dental lab, we often deliver faster than practices that send work to outside labs. Your specific timeline depends on the type of denture and any preparation needed beforehand.
It’s normal to need a brief adjustment period. Most patients tell us they get used to their dentures within two to four weeks. Some soreness or extra saliva is common early on, and any fit issues can be resolved during follow-up appointments with our team.
Yes, though there’s a learning curve. Start with softer foods and gradually work up to your usual diet over a few weeks. Many patients return to enjoying most of their favorite meals once they’ve adapted to chewing with their new teeth.
Daily cleaning keeps your dentures looking and feeling fresh. Brush them gently with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner, rinse after meals when possible, and soak them overnight in water or denture solution. We’ll show you the exact routine during your final visit.
Modern dentures are designed to look natural, with tooth shapes, sizes, and colors carefully matched to your features. Most people you encounter will have no idea unless you choose to tell them. Quality craftsmanship makes a noticeable difference in how authentic they appear.
Complete dentures replace all teeth in your upper or lower jaw and rest on your gums. Partial dentures fill specific gaps when you still have some natural teeth, using clasps or attachments to stay in place. We help you choose based on your needs.
With proper care, well-made dentures typically last five to ten years. Over time, your jawbone changes shape, which can affect fit and require relining or replacement. Regular check-ups help us catch issues early and keep your dentures performing well for the long term.
Properly fitted dentures stay securely in place during normal activities. If yours feel loose, it usually means they need an adjustment or reline. For added stability, mini implants can anchor dentures firmly, eliminating slippage entirely for patients who want that option.
The process itself shouldn’t cause pain. Taking impressions and fittings are non-invasive and comfortable. If extractions are needed first, we offer sedation options to keep you relaxed throughout. Some mild soreness during the adjustment period is normal but manageable with our guidance.
Most PPO dental insurance plans cover at least a portion of denture costs. We accept all PPO plans and work with you to maximize your benefits. Flexible payment options and our in-house Loyalty Plan can also help make treatment fit within your budget.

Thank You! My old tooth had fallen apart Sunday evening and was scratching my tongue more raw every time I would swallow, eat and especially, talk! This was causing a huge amount of pain on my tongue and I could feel it getting worse! On Tuesday I called Countryman although they were not my current dentist, they were able to squeeze me in and fix the tooth that was broken and rubbing against my tongue, causing the pain. The fix was an immediate relief! Thanks again!
