We know sleep apnea questions can feel urgent, especially when snoring, poor sleep, or CPAP frustration is part of your night. Our Silent Nite® Sleep Appliance is designed for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, and we are here to help you understand whether it fits your needs. If you have more questions, reach out and we will talk them through.

How does the Silent Nite® Sleep Appliance work?

It works by moving the lower jaw forward during sleep, which helps keep the airway from collapsing. The appliance includes extra connectors and an AM Aligner, which helps guide the jaw back in the morning. We use this option for snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea.
Most people with snoring or mild to moderate sleep apnea are worth evaluating for this treatment. During your visit, we look at your bite and your sleep concerns before recommending next steps. If a different approach is more appropriate, we will explain that clearly.
Each case includes the custom mandibular advancement appliance, extra connectors in different sizes, and an AM Aligner. That gives you the appliance for nighttime use and a way to help your jaw return to position in the morning. It is also backed by a 3-year warranty.
Unlike a CPAP, which uses air pressure, the Silent Nite® appliance repositions the jaw to help open the airway. Some patients prefer that because it is small, quiet, and easier to travel with. If you are tired of your CPAP, we can help you compare options.
You can relax, because the appliance is made to fit your mouth and hold your jaw in a therapeutic position overnight. There is usually an adjustment period as you get used to it. We will walk you through the fit and how to wear it correctly.
Typically, we start by reviewing your symptoms and examining how your bite works. Then we take the records needed to create the custom appliance. We also explain how the Silent Nite® system works so you know what to expect before treatment moves forward.
Daily cleaning matters, just like it does with other oral appliances. You will also need to use the AM Aligner as directed so your jaw can return to position after sleep. We will show you the routine before you leave, so it feels simple at home.
Untreated sleep apnea can affect more than your sleep, and it may contribute to health risks like heart disease, stroke, or daytime fatigue. Snoring can also disrupt your sleep partner. If your symptoms are getting worse, it is worth having us evaluate them.

Throughout his career, he has extracted over 200,000 teeth, including impacted molars and canines, and performed more than 35,000 IV moderate sedation procedures, showcasing his vast experience in dental surgery and sedation care.

Best visit I’ve ever had. Best staff, best technicians, BEST DOCTOR ever!!I cannot believe how easy it was to just walk in, looking for a few answers, then ten minutes later finding myself in the exam room being cared for. I had x-rays and scans done and was able to visit Dr. Countryman a few minutes later.The procedures needed were discussed clearly so that I fully understood. Nothing was done without my knowledge or approval beforehand. The pricing was very fair and reasonable, and insurance was researched carefully, giving me complete satisfaction in the final outcome. THIS was very much appreciated.Appointments were set up for the next couple of days, not weeks. It was mind-blowing!On the first appointment, they went to painful lengths to make sure I had no pain.
